Shaping the Future of Business Education: CODEB4A Highlights CHED Reforms, Micro-Credentials, and Social Entrepreneurship
Calamba City, Laguna — September 16, 2025. Innovation and collaboration took center stage as the Council of Deans and Educators of Business Region IV-A (CODEB4A) gathered at STI College Calamba for its 2025 General Assembly themed “Reimagining Business Education: Embracing CHED Reforms, Micro-Credentials, and Innovations.”
The event drew deans, faculty members, and academic leaders from across Region IV-A, creating a dynamic forum to exchange ideas, share best practices, and discuss policies shaping the future of business education.
Three distinguished guest speakers provided powerful insights into areas critical to the sector’s transformation. Dr. Pelagio Labang Jr. opened the discussions with timely updates on CHED reforms and their impact on higher education institutions. Mr. Francis Xavier Hernandez followed by highlighting the rising relevance and implementation of micro-credentials to upskill students and professionals. Concluding the sessions, Mr. Cris Delgado emphasized the importance of social entrepreneurship in building sustainable and socially responsible business leaders.
