The Council of Deans and Educators of Business in Region IV was organized out of a need to establish an association in the Region that would seek to upgrade and advance the quality of business education in one of the most progressive industrial zones in the area. Thus, on February 28, 2002, the 1st General Assembly of Deans and Business Educators in Region IV was held at Tagaytay Country Hotel, Tagaytay City.
Immediately upon its organization, the Council immediately buckled down to work and was able to accomplish the following:
Represented the Region in the public hearings held by CHED regarding the new BSBA and BS Entrepreneurship curriculums;
Collaborated with CHED HERO IV in evaluating schools applying for the BSBA and BSA curriculums through the latter’s RQAT Program.
However, the creation of Regions 4A and 4B, consequently dividing the Region into CALABARZON and MIMAROPA, forced the Council to go into semi-hibernation until new directions from CHED was received.
Under the guidance of CHED Director Isabel F. Inlayo, CODEB4A received the signal to once again establish its presence in the effort to maintain quality business education in Region IV-A, therefore, the 2nd CODEB4A Regional Conference was held on February 17-18,2006, at Phinma Training Center in Tagaytay City.
